PLEASE HELP ME MAKE BAIL!

After a brief stand off at my studio with Burlington Police Detective Maurice  “Mo” Hedgepeth, I gave in. One of my associate photographers, Adam Sikora, broke under pressure and revealed my hide out.  I am tired of running from the law. I'm weary, worn out and it's time to come clean. My crime is “having a big heart” but apparently it’s not big enough. I haven’t made bail yet. Can you help me?

Photographer Adam Sikora has documented this travesty. Click HERE to see more images from my incarceration on our Blog. PLEASE HELP! Kidding aside ... I'm proud to be “behind bars" to help in the fight against muscle disease. I'm have joined other business leaders to help raise critical funds for MDA, and I need your help to reach my bail!

All you have to do is click here to make a secure, online donation today. Please support me in this important goal by visiting my fundraising page and making a contribution. Your tax-deductible donation makes a difference to the hundreds of kids, adults and their families who live right here in our local community.

Please Bail Me Out!

A warrant for my arrest is circulating. Officials are closing in on my whereabouts. I'm not sure how much longer I can avoid incarceration. PLEASE help! I have still not met my bail. Any donation will help. No donation is too small.

Exum Family Christmas Card 2013
All is Calm, All is Bright

Thank you to all our friends and family who shared their creative card ideas with us this year. We have a treasury of ideas for future Christmases! Believe me, there are some serious contenders—from riding camels, to zip lining, to Evel Knievel inspired stunts! Just wait till next year. We settled on an idea we’ve been mulling over the last few years. Steve loves movie posters, and I love Christmas movies—White Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Life, The Family Stone (seriously), and of course, Christmas Vacation. Bella and Sawyer loved the idea and harnessed their inner Audrey and Rusty to play their parts flawlessly. Bella is not really a snarky pre-teen, and Sawyer wants all to know this is not his real smile—clearly, they were acting. As for Steve, although he’s oblivious to it, he is, always has been, and always will be our very own Clark Griswold. There’s never a task too big for him to take on. He will climb a tree with a chainsaw in hand if it looks like it needs pruning. He will hang from a rooftop to get the best angle for a photo. He will search for, and find, the most death-defying sledding hill around and then race the kids so he can try it first. His childlike enthusiasm, eternal optimism and boundless energy will ultimately convince you too it’s a good idea—whatever it is. Although this particular Christmas card did not require a large production, it did bring us together in what has become an Exum family tradition, along with Christmas PJs, Christmas Eve services at Holy Comforter, feeding reindeer, and getting together with friends and family. The shoot was without its challenges. But after 150 takes or so when Bella and Sawyer are coming undone and I just want to throw up my hands and say, “can’t we just take a photo in front of the tree?”, we see the spark in Steve’s eyes. Once again, he convinces us that we can do it, and it will be the best Christmas card ever!

May the spirit of Christmas and cherished memories of Christmases past fill you with joy and light throughout the coming year!

Molly, Steve, Bella and Sawyer

2013 Exum Christmas Card coming to a mailbox near you

Friends and family, we have a treat coming to your mailbox soon. Due to a comedy of errors at at the printer, our glorious 2013 Exum Family Christmas card distribution has been delayed. First, the printer messed up the UV coating and had to reprint it. Next, it went out on the wrong truck only to be returned to the printer the next day. The photo below is the actual box leaving Kentucky for an overnight delivery to our studio tomorrow, Dec 24th. Oddly, the struggle to get this dang card printed is very much in keeping with the theme of the card and the associated pre-Christmas mayhem. Last, since you aren’t going to get your card before Christmas, we don’t want to leave you empty handed. Here is a certificate to the Jelly of the Month Club just for you. “It's the gift that just keeps on giving the whole year.” (wink! wink!)

Fisher Wealth Management Birthday Card

For three years running, Exum Photography has created a custom birthday card for Fisher Wealth Management. Our first year was an exploding birthday cake, and last year we brought the Happy Days back to life. This year we took a brilliant idea from Rick Fisher and his team at FWM. After much planning, countless hours sourcing costumes and props and even renting vintage microphones from Canada, we managed to turn the Fisher Wealth team into the Rat Pack.  With some great costumes, a little stage make-up and a few blond wigs, we found ourselves in the presence of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Peter Lawford and four lovely backup singers. The team got into character and delivered exactly the look we needed. Special thanks to the FWM team for their willingness and lively spirits. Thanks also to Terry Christian for make-up, Elizabeth Hensley for styling, Laura Fisher for providing dinner for our team, Griffin Davis for wonderful retouching work and Jenna Moore for graphic design.
